LE REFUGE SAINT-GUILLAUME

The project consists of three prefabricated modules assembled on a remote forest site beside a lake, inaccessible by road. Conceived as a family retreat, the cabin emphasizes quietness, energy autonomy, and a strong connection to the landscape. The placement and orientation of the modules respond to a dual intent: to frame selected views of the lake and trees, and to maximize passive solar gains. Energy is supplied by photovoltaic panels, and thermal efficiency is enhanced through shared heat across integrated systems. Prefabrication enables efficient modular transport and quick assembly on this hard-to-reach site.
