Based on an initial need, a daring project was developed in a very short time by our team, proposing to go beyond the simple function of accommodation to make it a place of life, meeting and natural interaction between the occupants. During the low season, the place also serves as a small community hotel for tourists wishing to discover the region differently.

An existing large poplar tree is used as an anchor for the project. Rising in an iconic fashion, it marks the main entrance to this project, designed entirely horizontally, energizing the whole. The slender and elegant form of the building merges with a game of roof types which reinforces the articulation between the two volumes, to suggest encounter and movement.

The project's design is the result of a dialogue between the contemporary and the vernacular that materializes not only in volume but also in the choice of interior finishes: natural wood, barn wood paneling, polished concrete and other raw materials for more authenticity and character.

The distribution of floors contains 15 rooms per floor with exchange areas. The garden level contains office spaces, community living spaces (kitchen, lounge, agora with piano, exercise room, pool table, terrace, etc.), and support rooms (mechanics and services).
