The main idea of the project is to enlarge and transform the current hotel/inn into a first-rate establishment. It will highlight the different attributes of the site and create a positive impact on the important artery that is the Grande-Allée Street in Québec City.
The tower is sculpted to minimize the projected shadow of the building as well as to thin the main volume on Galipeault Street.
This effort also makes it possible to highlight the entrance to the new part of the hotel on this street, while clearing the corner of the neighboring building. The two entrances (existing and new) meet in a common hall on the ground floor.
While the front and rear facades are completely glazed to maximize the views of the city and the river, the side façades are of a terra-cotta, red-orange mineral nature to echo the brickwork of the Montcalm district.
Three terraces allow you to enjoy the sun all day long: one per penthouse and a third which is accessible via the hotel's gym/spa area. In addition, parking lots are intelligently managed to maximize their number.
