St-Tite-des-Caps HLM OMH
St-Tite-des-Caps
2026
The project involves the reconstruction of a 13-unit social housing building, previously demolished following a fire. Mandated by the OMH of Côte-de-Beaupré and Québec City, Cargo architecture designed a new building based on existing parameters, adapted to current resident needs. The design emphasizes durability, high-quality materials, and reduced long-term maintenance requirements. The units provide generous natural light, kitchens that encourage use, and communal areas that support social interaction. The exterior materiality reflects the surrounding built environment, ensuring a harmonious integration into the local context.
