CARGOarchitecture worked with the Studio Makusham team to design a new space dedicated to Innu music and culture. The project represents an important step in the evolution of the studio founded by Florent Vollant. It includes a state-of-the-art main recording room, accommodation units for artists-in-residence and visitors, and a multimedia space in the basement intended for educational groups.

The architectural concept draws from the shaputuan, a traditional gathering place, and is oriented toward the river. An outdoor area is designed to welcome tipi installations by the community. The main recording space features a double-height volume, with a mezzanine offering a space for reflection and creation. The program also includes all required administrative spaces.
