VALLÉE BRAS-DU-NORD – PAVILLON NAUTIQUE
Lévis
2024
Developed in close collaboration with the Vallée-Bras-du-Nord team, the pavilion offers a simple and sensitive response to an exceptional site. Its architecture is organized around a generous wooden roof that shelters an open central area and two enclosed volumes. Departing from conventional reception buildings, the layout supports outdoor and seasonal use through a fluid, intuitive spatial flow that enhances natural interactions between visitors and staff.
The use of rough, locally sourced wood gives the structure a warm and authentic presence that reflects the rustic spirit of the location. The light timber frame rests on screw piles to reduce ground disturbance and adapt easily to the terrain. Hidden joints and integrated framing contribute to a clean and legible structure while ensuring robustness. The result is a human-scaled, sustainable architecture deeply rooted in its context.
