Villa du Cap continues the legacy of Quebec’s modernist residential movement of the 1960s. The design preserves André Robitaille’s original clarity while adapting the residence to contemporary family life. The project restores the original façade, refines the building’s proportions, and introduces a recessed upper level aligned with the initial horizontal composition. Monochrome materials and clean lines extend the sense of lightness and refinement characteristic of the period, enhanced by today’s construction techniques. The result maintains a careful balance between opacity, transparency, and connection to the river landscape.
