Kimoli consists of the reconstruction and extension of an entrance porch of an existing house and a complete redevelopment of its ground floor, including the kitchen, dining and living areas, as well as their service areas such as bathrooms and storage.

On the outside, the Corten steel cladding on the facade gives this bright Sillery semi-detached house a unique character as well as a beautiful sobriety, due to the mineral nature of this material.

The new porch expresses itself as a cube of Corten steel that extends to the exterior steps to blend harmoniously with the existing house. Inside, its redevelopment allows it to fully assume its interior storage function.

In connection with this new entrance hall, the elimination of a partition and the replacement of the solid gypsum wall separating the two levels with a glass railing, opens up the main space to create an open area linking the new entrance hall, kitchen, dining room and living room.

The concept relies on space efficiency and clean lines. Particular attention has been paid to the finishing details.

Thus, the kitchen is made of quality materials such as wood veneer, quartz and granite. The guardrail of the main staircase, initially made of traditional wooden beams, now makes room to firmly stretched steel rods which cross the 3 communicating levels.
