The design of the Royal Avenue project was largely inspired and guided by the architecture of the heritage buildings adjacent to the project. The project is therefore illustrated by a building homologous to the neighboring buildings, with a contemporary touch. Thus, the latter reveals the richness of the existing architectural heritage of Vieux-Beauport, while displaying a more current and dynamic look. To promote the integration of the project into the urban landscape, the size of the building was determined according to the neighboring dwellings. Indeed, the project also aims at so-called "soft" densification, which reflects the potential units that can be produced according to the standards provided for in a subdivision.

Authenticity, simplicity, and durability are the values surrounding the choice of materials for the project. The lower part of the main volume will feature brick masonry. The upper part of the main volume, for its part, will be covered with a mansard roof in the baguette-style metal cladding that can be found on most of the residences near Avenue Royale.

The project emphasizes the use of sustainable, high-quality materials of historical character, which ensures the sustainability of the appearance of the project in the urban landscape over the years. Finally, the judicious choice of exterior finishes with a historic character pays tribute to heritage architecture and ensures the integration of the projected building into its environment.

Most of the residences on Avenue Royale have either covered balconies or a front porch. Balconies have been integrated into the architecture of the projected building to signify and express the purity of the angles of the mansard roof.

Like the buildings of the time, the windows are of uniform size and are bordered by a framing affirming the openness, following simple and contemporary lines.
